Marie-Christine Raboud has been the director of « Galerie Cathédrale » since 2011. The gallery was established in 1966 and was previously run by the family of the renowned painter Charles-Clos Olsommer.
Mme Raboud represents local artists as well as international ones. She endeavours to create a space for their artworks to be shown in the beautiful premises here in Fribourg.
« Galerie Cathédrale » is launching a new programme for 2023. The artworks presented will communicate a sense of wonder and invite the viewers to a contemplative experience in order to contribute to a personal spiritual dimension.

Le Christ dans la création d’aujourd’hui ?
Sous l’impulsion d’un artiste, Sylvain Bouillard, qui a réalisé la performance de créer un Christ
en croix avec un million de petits ronds à l’encre de chine, j’ai pris la
décision d’organiser une exposition sur la thématique du Christ !
le titre de l’exposition m’a été soufflé par une
historienne de l’art, Rodica Costianu!
Et j’ai composé
avec les artistes qui se sont trouvés sur mon chemin !
L’affiche a jailli de l’instant grâce à la rencontre
inattendue avec l’artiste Alain Boulerot !
Une dizaine d’artistes, pas tous sur l’affiche, avec des
mediums aussi variés que leur sensibilité !
